Pacific World DMC has been the official partner to EIBTM since 2004. During EIBTM 2014, where over 17,000 meetings industry professionals attended, Pacific World delivered operational support for all aspects of the show. MICExchange interviewed Mr Harsha Krishnan, Strategic Development Director of Pacific World about the global reach of the successful worldwide DMC.
Mr Harsha Krishnan pointed out that the key markets for Pacific World DMC cover USA, UK, Australia, France and have developed focused market strategies for these regions and their clients. “We have also set up a strategic alliance with a company called Access Destinations Services whereby Pacific World and Access are completely aligned in delivering top class MICE services in the US through a network of 19 offices across the US.” This alliance now provides access to over 500 team members across the world and allows planning of events virtually anywere worldwide.
Mr Krishnan, further noted, “Pacific World is a global destination and event management company present in three continents, North America, Asia and Europe and a presence in over 30 countries,“ and went on to say, “Destinations that have really soared in popularity this year has been South Korea – South Korea has really come on the map as a key MICE destination for all our source markets particularly due to its spectacular infrastructure in conference, congress facilities and hotels.”
Mr Kristnan also noted that Pacific World is continuing to expand into new destinations, “ Just at this show here at EIBTM, we have announced an opening up of Sri Lanka, Croatia and the Maldives which we think are upcoming destinations for MICE clients from around the world.”
