Reed Travel Exhibitions (RTE) has big plans for the second annual Americas Incentive, Business Travel & Meetings Exhibition (AIBTM).
AIBTM 2012 takes place June 19-21, 2012, in Baltimore, and will feature a larger show floor; a stronger hosted buyer offering that gives hosted buyers the opportunity to attend AIBTM for three nights instead of two; post-event tours of Baltimore, available exclusively to hosted buyers after the event; and new association and corporate education programs, both taking place during AIBTM Education Day on June 19, one day prior to the two-day exhibition.
Apparrently, still nine months out from the show, more than 60% of the AIBTM show floor already is sold, according to Reed, which credits that number in large part to a number of returning exhibitors from 2011, including hotels, international destinations and U.S. convention and visitors bureaus.
The AIBTM Project Director Steve Knight, says that they are well ahead of ourselves already this year. The demand for booths from so many exhibitors who took part in the inaugural AIBTM apparently shows that exhibitors are keen to be seen on show floor. Because of the success of the professional education program, feedback showed that hosted buyers wanted to be given the choice to attend the day before the show opened. So for 2012 Reed will be increasing their flexibility to do so by providing a third night option in Baltimore.
